Join CASA of the Mid-Shore on a Voyage into the Future! Party!
You and your friends can voyage into the future on May 16, 2020 by enjoying CASA of the Mid-Shore’s anniversary celebration, a stellar party that promises to be out of this world! Celebrating this Court Appointed Special Advocate Program’s 30 years of service to vulnerable children, the Galaxy Gala will focus on the future in excitedly entertaining and creative ways.
“CASA of the Mid-Shore is celebrating 30th year of advocating for maltreated children!” says Robin Davenport, Executive Director of CASA Mid-Shore. “As we honor this fantastic milestone, we also look forward to the future with the belief that the sky is the limit as to how CASA can continue to help local children. That’s the reason our talented and visionary event committee selected this fun, futuristic theme for our celebratory spring event.
The Galaxy Gala will showcase starry nights and swirling constellations inside the Trident Hangar, the event venue again this year thanks to the generous hospitality of John Galdieri, President of Trident Aircraft. Featuring cosmic and colorful lighting, lasers, and virtual reality entertainment with a futuristic bent, guests will be transported into outer space. Delicious cuisine and themed beverages a la Gourmet by the Bay will be created with an “out of this world” theme in mind. A surprise raffle and unique entertainment sure to delight are also in the works and will be unveiled in the coming months.
“We’ve all watched The Jetsons and Back to the Future come close to reality,” states CASA Board Secretary Chrissy McWilliams. “In dreaming of a beautiful future for all children, our Galaxy Gala will take us to the next level while also celebrating CASA’s important work with children. We encourage guests to join in the spirit of the celebration by dressing in themed attire. Channel your favorite sci-fi character, or make one up, and join in the fun! There will be ample opportunities for some great thematic photos!”
Galaxy Gala will raise funds to support CASA of the Mid-Shore’s work with children who are under court protection in Talbot, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, and Kent Counties due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or their parents’ inability to safely care for them.
